20″ x 20″ abstract painting on 3/4″ Plywood

Bitilāsana is an 20″ x 20″ abstract acrylic painting on plywood panel with a glossy finish. It is titled after the cow pose in yoga. Cow pose is a gentle spinal extension that opens the chest, shoulders, and front of the body while encouraging mobility throughout the spine. Bitilāsana strengthens and mobilizes the spine while stretching the abdomen, chest, and shoulders. This piece was created with joint knives and non traditional tools and techniques.

This luminous abstract work is influenced by Hennick’s vinyasa flow style yoga practice.
