20″ x 20″ abstract painting on 3/4″ Plywood

Mārjāryāsana is an 20″ x 20″ abstract acrylic painting on 3/4″ plywood with a glossy finish. It is titled after the cat pose in yoga. Cat pose is a gentle spinal movement that promotes flexibility, body awareness, and relaxation. Mārjāryāsana gently mobilizes the spine while strengthening the abdominal muscles and releasing tension through the back, neck, and shoulders. This piece was created with joint knives and non traditional tools and techniques.

This luminous abstract work is influenced by Hennick’s vinyasa flow style yoga practice.
