Aṣṭa Candrāsana Abstract Painting
36″ x 36″ large scale acrylic abstract painting on panel installed in a black floating frame.
Ashta Chandrasana was created with joint knives and various construction tools. It is titled after the High Lunge or Crescent Lunge Pose in hatha and modern yoga. Ashta Chandrasana is a dynamic standing yoga pose that builds strength, balance, and flexibility. It strengthens the legs, glutes, and core while stretching the hip flexors, quadriceps, and shoulders. This large scale expressive abstract work is influenced by Hennick’s meditation and yoga practice.
