Bhujaṅgāsana Abstract Painting
48″ x 36″ Large scale abstract painting on panel
Bhujaṅgāsana was created with joint knives, rubber blades and construction tools. It is titled after the Cobra Pose in modern yoga.
Bhujaṅgāsana is a rejuvenating back-bending asana and is one of the prone asanas in Surya Namaskar. Cobra Pose stretches the abdomen, chest, and shoulders while strengthening the back muscles, improving spinal flexibility and posture. It also stimulates the digestive organs and can help alleviate mild lower back discomfort when practiced with proper engagement. As a heart-opening posture, Bhujaṅgāsana encourages deep breathing and emotional release, promoting a sense of vitality and confidence.
This large scale abstract artwork is influenced by Hennick’s meditation and yoga practice. This painting was completed in 2024.
