Pārśvakoṇāsana Abstract Painting
48″ x 36″ Large scale abstract painting on panel
Pārśvakoṇāsana was created with joint knives, rubber blades and construction tools. It is titled after the Side Angle pose in modern yoga. Pārśvakoṇāsana is a strong standing posture that builds stability and opens the body’s lateral lines, combining strength, stretch, and expansion. The pose cultivates grounding through the legs and openness through the torso, symbolizing stability and spaciousness at once. Practiced mindfully, it builds endurance, enhances focus, and creates a feeling of integrated strength and fluidity in the body.
The painting’s abstract imagery is influenced by Hennick’s meditation and yoga practice.
