Śaśankāsana Abstract Painting
48″ x 24″ abstract painting on panel installed in a black floating frame.
Śaśankāsana was created with joint knives, rubber blades and construction tools. It is titled after the Rabbit or Hare pose in modern yoga. Rabbit Pose is a calming, forward-bending posture that encourages relaxation, introspection, and surrender. This posture gently stretches the lower back, hips, and thighs while calming the nervous system. In traditional practice, Śaśankāsana is said to promote a “cooling” effect on the mind, fostering inner quiet and grounding. This expressive abstract work is influenced by Hennick’s meditation and yoga practice.
