  • Phalakāsana Abstract Painting

    Phalakāsana was created with joint knives, rubber blades and non traditional tools. It is titled after the High Plank pose in modern yoga. High Plank is used in some forms of the Sun Salutations and strengthens the arms, wrists and spine. This large scale abstract artwork is influenced by Hennick’s meditation and yoga practice. This painting was completed in 2024.

These abstract works are inspired by the Sun Salutations, a sequence of 12 powerful yoga postures that warms, strengthens, and aligns the entire body. Sun Salutations are a key part of Hennick’s vinyasa flow style yoga practice.

    The Surya Namaskãr Series was created in 2020.
